President – Catherine Johnston

Catherine Johnston is a graduate student at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg. She graduated from USFSP with a bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Cultural Studies. She is an advocate of education and the pursuit of knowledge. Catherine is a lifelong lover of reading, wife to her childhood sweetheart, and mother to three fabulous children. She spends her free time reading, playing video games with her family, debating the nature of the universe with her husband (a Physics teacher), and taking family walks with her pet dog, Andromeda.

Vice President – Alyssa Harmon

Alyssa Harmon was the 2017 Alpha Xi Phi chapter president and is 2018’s vice president. She is also the editor in chief for Papercut. She is working on an English Writing Studies major and Mass Communication minor at USFSP. She’s had several pieces published in Papercut, USFSP Hercampus, and The Merrimack Review. She loves The Office and has watched the season in its entirety at least nine times.

Treasurer – Tami Toms

After her youngest son finished graduate school, Tami Toms regretted never finishing college herself. She has since graduated with a degree from Eckerd College before promptly applying to attend graduate school at USFSP. Tami is currently working toward a master’s degree in liberal arts.  She spent 26 years working for the Department of Transportation while raising her family and is now able to study literature and begin writing, loving every minute of it.

Historian – Travis Lueth

Travis Lueth is a graduate student in the USFSP English Education Masters program, and also holds a BA in Creative Writing from Florida State University. He is published in the 2008 and 2009 issue of The Kudzu Review and the 2017 issue of Papercut. He currently resides in St. Petersburg, FL with his wife, two daughters, and his dog Pickles.
